What is AI Task Translation?
AI Task Translation automatically translates the content of your task forms into multiple languages. Once a translation is generated, employees will see the task in their preferred language—no manual work required.
Do I need to set up languages before translating tasks?
Yes. Before generating translations, you must enable your target languages via:
Configuration → General → Languages
Only enabled languages will appear as available translation options.
Can I translate a task into multiple languages at once?
Yes.
When selecting “Add AI Translation” from the language dropdown in the task preview panel, you can choose multiple target languages at once before clicking “Request Translation.”
What content is translated?
AI translations include all user-facing content in the task form:
🏷️ Field labels and descriptions
🗂️ Section titles
🔘 Button labels (Next, Previous, Submit)
📝 Text and typography blocks within the form
Note: Employee-entered data (such as form responses) is not translated.
Can I edit a translation after it’s generated?
Yes.
After generating a translation, select the desired language from the dropdown in the preview panel. You can then manually edit any field before saving.
What happens if I update the original task?
Existing translations are not automatically updated when the original task changes.
If you update the default-language version, you’ll need to:
Regenerate the translation, or
Manually update it
This ensures all versions stay in sync.
How is the employee’s language determined?
Tasks are displayed in the employee’s preferred language, as set in their profile.
If no translation is available, the system falls back to the default language.
🔧 Troubleshooting
A language I need isn’t available
Make sure the language is enabled:
Configuration → General → Languages
Only enabled languages appear as translation options.
“Add AI Translation” is not visible
Check the following:
You are viewing the task in the Preview panel (right-hand side) under Configuration → Tasks
You have the required admin permissions
At least one additional language (besides the default) is enabled
The translation is incorrect or incomplete
AI translations are generated automatically and may not always be perfect.
You can:
Review the translation in the preview panel
Manually edit any field after selecting the relevant language
Employees still see the default language
Possible causes:
The employee’s preferred language is not set
No translation exists for their language
The language is not enabled in system settings
