Checking In Without a Phone

Sometimes a visitor may arrive on-site without their phone. This could be due to a dead battery, forgetting the phone, using a private device, or simply not having one with them. In these cases, there are still ways to check in and gain access.

Option 1: Use an On-Site Kiosk

  1. Go to the NineID tablet or kiosk at the entrance.

  2. On the screen, select “I have no code.”

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your details.

  4. Once completed, the system will grant access and record the visit as an ad hoc check-in.

Option 2: Ask for Help at Reception

  1. If no kiosk is available, go to the reception or security desk.

  2. The staff member there can log in to the NineID admin account.

  3. They will generate a new check-in code for you.

  4. The code can be:

    • sent to you via email,

    • sent via SMS, or

    • given as a magic code to enter on another device.

Option 3: Contact Your Company’s Admin

  1. If the site has no kiosk and no receptionist or security staff are available, contact your company’s NineID administrator.

  2. They can generate a new check-in code remotely, just like a site receptionist.

  3. Use the provided code to complete your check-in.
