Summary
In the Manager, go to Configuration → Devices and click Add device.
Follow the link to the correct app in the App Store and download the NineID Entr App.
ℹ️ Please note: this app is designed for iPads.
In the Check-in App, open Settings.
Scan the QR code displayed in the Manager (from step 2).
Complete the additional information in the Manager.
📲 1. Download the Entr App
The Entr app is available for tablets and smartphones.

🔌 2. Connect Your Device to the NineID Platform
To complete this step, ensure you are logged into the NineID platform as an Admin.
In NineID:
In the left-hand menu, go to Configuration → Devices.
Click Add Device
A window will appear displaying a QR code.
You will scan this code with your device in the next steps.
📱 3. Configure the Entr App on Your Device
Open the NineID Entr app on your tablet or smartphone.
Tap Configuration.
Click the scanner icon at the top right of the screen.
Scan the QR code generated in the NineID platform.
After scanning, the NineID Host field will automatically populate with your platform address.
Please ensure you continue configuration inside the NineID platform following this step.
🔧 4. Complete Device Setup in NineID
Back in the NineID platform:
Give your device a name so you can easily identify it.
Select the location and site where the device will be used.
Click Save Changes.
Registration Settings
Only Registration
Enable this option to allow only ad-hoc registrations through the tablet. This prevents users from scanning a QR code from a pre-registration.Only Allow

Registration Roles Available:
Select which user roles can register ad-hoc on the device.Registration Event Type:
Define which event type will be created when a user registers ad-hoc.
⚠️ Only one event type can be associated with ad-hoc registrations.
The Ad Hoc Check-In option is designed specifically for situations where a user is not yet known in the system and no existing event record has been created for them.
Use this setting only when you need to quickly check in a new, unregistered user on the spot.
If a user has already completed pre-registration and is checking in for an existing event, all event types available in the system can be used.

Note: Each zone can only be linked to a single device.
▶️ 5. Final Step: Enable Kiosk Mode
On your device:
Open the Entr app.
Tap Enable Kiosk Mode.
Your device is now ready to scan QR codes from all visitors with a valid code.
