  3. A window will appear displaying a QR code.
You will scan this code with your device in the next steps.

📱 3. Configure the Entr App on Your Device

  2. Tap Configuration.

  3. Click the scanner icon at the top right of the screen.

Registration Settings

  • Only Registration
Enable this option to allow only ad-hoc registrations through the tablet. This prevents users from scanning a QR code from a pre-registration.

  • Only Allow
Select whether the tablet should be used for:

    • Check-in

    • Check-out

    • Both (default if no option is selected)

  • Printer URL (IPP):
If you plan to print badges during check-in, add your printer’s IP address in this format:

    ipp://111.111.111/ipp/print

  • Registration Roles Available:
Select which user roles can register ad-hoc on the device.

  • Registration Event Type:
Define which event type will be created when a user registers ad-hoc.

⚠️ Only one event type can be associated with ad-hoc registrations.

The Ad Hoc Check-In option is designed specifically for situations where a user is not yet known in the system and no existing event record has been created for them.
Use this setting only when you need to quickly check in a new, unregistered user on the spot.

If a user has already completed pre-registration and is checking in for an existing event, all event types available in the system can be used.

Branding Settings

  • Custom Branding
Enable this option to unlock basic customisation settings for the app’s branding.

Note: Each zone can only be linked to a single device.

▶️ 5. Final Step: Enable Kiosk Mode

On your device:

  1. Open the Entr app.

  2. Tap Enable Kiosk Mode.
Your device is now ready to scan QR codes from all visitors with a valid code.
