πŸ’‘ After tasks are created, they can be assigned to a Company (ex. Contractor Admin). The responsible person must first complete the required company-based tasks (e.g., VCA, Contractor Agreement) before they can begin registering users from their company.

Creating a Company Type

To create a new company type and define its properties and requirements, follow these steps:

  1. From the main menu on the left, navigate to Configuration and then select Company Types.

  2. In the top-right corner, click Add Company Type. This will open a new page with three tabs: General, Requirements, and Permissions.

1. General Tab

This tab defines the basic attributes of the company type.

  • Type Name: Enter a descriptive name for the company type (e.g., "Contractor").

  • Internal Department: Check this box if the company type is for internal departments within your organization.

  • Form: Assign a form to this company type. Properties for the company will be managed using the assigned form.

  • Mandatory Company Owner: Check this box to require a company owner email to be added when a company of this type is created.

  • Admin Role: This field allows you to select a role that will be automatically assigned to the first user created under a company of this type.

2. Requirements Tab

This tab sets the tasks and requirements that must be met for a company of this type to be considered valid.

  • Tasks: Select specific tasks that will be automatically assigned to any company of this type.

  • Requirements: Select the requirements that must be met for a company to be considered valid.

3. Permissions Tab

This tab defines the permissions and access rules for users associated with this company type.

  • Delegated Roles: Select roles that will be available to be assigned to users of this company type.

  • Lock Delegated Roles: Check this box to disable the assignment of other roles on a company-level basis. This restricts users to only the roles specified in Delegated Roles.

  • Permitted Roles: Select the roles that are allowed to use this company type.
