What is an Event?

An event is a defined time window during which a specific role is granted access to a designated zone.

Before the event becomes valid, certain tasks may need to be completed. For example:

  • Uploading a valid permit

  • Completing a checklist

Only once these requirements are fulfilled will the event grant access as intended.

Adding a New Event

To create a new event, start by clicking the + ADD EVENT button from the main events page. A pop-up window will appear where you can enter the event's details.

1. Basic Information

  • Event Name: Enter a descriptive name for your event, such as "Safety Workshop."

  • Type: Select the event type from the dropdown menu (e.g., "Visit_PreRegistered").

2. Time & Location

  • Date From & Date To: Use the calendar icons to select the start and end dates for the event.

  • Project: If applicable, choose the project this event is associated with from the dropdown list.

  • Description: If applicable, provide a brief description of the event.

  • Zone(s): Select one or more zones where the event will take place.

3. Associated Parties

  • Company: Choose the company or companies related to the event from the dropdown menu.

  • Owners: Select the individuals who will be the owners or administrators of the event.

Once all the information has been entered, click Save to create the new event.

Viewing Events

Upon navigating to the Events section from the left-hand menu, you'll see a list of all current events. You can filter the view using the tabs at the top of the page:

  • All: Shows all events.

  • Today: Shows only events scheduled for the current day.

  • Tomorrow: Shows only events scheduled for the next day.

  • Archived: Shows events that have been archived.

You can also use the search bar and filter drop downs to find specific events by their name, project, event type, user, or company.

Event Details Page

Clicking on an event from the list takes you to its dedicated details page. Here, you can view comprehensive information about the event, including:

  • Project: The project the event is associated with.

  • Type: The type of event (e.g., Visit_Adhoc).

  • Description: A brief description of the event.

  • Start/Finish Time: The scheduled start and end times.

  • Access Management: How access is controlled (e.g., User-based, Company-based).

  • Zones: The zones where the event is taking place.

  • Users: All users associated with the event.

  • Companies: All companies associated with the event.

You can also perform various actions from this page:

  • Edit Event: Click the Edit Event button to open a pop-up window where you can change the event's details, such as its name, type, dates, and times.

  • Event Actions: The three-dot menu next to the "Edit Event" button offers options to Archive Event or Duplicate Event.
